Kaela Judd, LMFT

I fell in love with the idea of working with couples early in my career. I have a deep passion for helping couples get off the endless merry-go-round of negative cycles, find lasting connection, and create shared meaning together. I understand the painful emotions of staring at divorce in the face and drowning in the unknowns.  I can help you find hope with researched-based tools that have been proven to work and that I fully believe in!

I am experienced with applying the Gottman method for couples and I can provide you the skills that can help you to get on the same team and create shared meaning in your relationship. I also understand the dynamics of mixed-faith marriages and faith crisis trauma. I integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) into many aspects of my therapy to help clients desensitize trauma, resolve that feeling of being ‘stuck,’ or repeating past negative cycles.

Trauma can contribute to the chaos in our relationships. Because of that, I’m equally passionate about working with individuals to address and lessen these effects, having specific experience with interpersonal relationship issues, faith crisis, and childhood trauma. Your struggles don’t have to be an endless spiral of depression and anxiety. I will sit with you in the pit of your despair and give you a boost to resolve what we can and to manage the rest.

I’m not all therapy! Here’s a little more about me…my husband and I have been married for 10 years and we have three boys together. We moved to St. George back in 2016 and we have loved it ever since! We spend our days hiking, traveling, remodeling, and experiencing new things together! I also have a special place in my heart for gardening. I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the Couples and Family Therapy Master’s program in December 2020.

I am a certified Gottmans seven Principles Educator and utilize many Gottman Principles in my practice. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy and EMDR. I believe that in addition to my educational degrees and training background, I have vast life experience that I draw from on a daily basis. It shapes my desire to help transform your life.

Whether you’re single or in a relationship. Give me a call or send me an email, I’m happy to answer any questions you have.
