Gwynyth Wimmer, LAMFT

Life brings many challenges such as emotional chaos, marital conflict, broken families, job loss, death, and more. This leaves so many people feeling lost, alone, or simply stuck in these difficult times in life. However, it is never too late to find help and create lasting change. I offer a safe place to work on the things that matter most to you. I specialize in helping families resolve conflict and create stronger relationships and healthy boundaries.

I work with couples to manage or resolve their repetitive conflicts in order to reconstruct their relationship into a more committed and enjoyable relationship. I also work with individuals who want to make changes in their own lives in order to live happier, fuller, and overall better lives. I also specialize in working with children and adolescents with ADHD, autism, or other behavioral issues. Families with kids on the spectrum or with ADHD often need extra support. I love to work with parents and children to make long-lasting and important changes. It is critical that the parents be involved in the therapeutic process in order for therapy to be truly effective in their child.

I utilize an integrative approach to therapy but often utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and Gottman Method. I am systems trained as a marriage and family therapist, which means I look at all behavior through the lens of the family and relationships. I am EMDR trained which is a trauma treatment that can be used with children, adolescents, and adults.

If you are interested in working with me then please reach out via phone, email, or through the office to schedule a 10-minute consultation or your first full session.
