Christine Gibb, LMFT
I started my journey of curiosity and passion for why humans do what they do with the completion of undergraduate degree in Sociology in 1994 and have worked in the mind/body health industry much of my life. In 2007 I began leading groups in mindfulness, yoga, and wellness retreats and providing yoga therapy for individual clients. I completed my masters program in Psychology at Brandman University starting in 2016 so that I could delve more into the powerful mind/body connection. Along with my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am also a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist. This is a form of somatic psychotherapy that involves psychology, neuroscience, yoga philosophy, and Buddhist techniques in mindfulness.
I love hanging out with family, traveling, and taking my dog Gus for walks/hikes. I enjoy the moments I get to spend time with my 3 college age children. It’s a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together and I receive great satisfaction from helping people of all ages lead healthier and happier lives. . One of my favorite quotes is by Ralph Waldo Emerson: “To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
