I love what I do! I spend my days being a part of an amazing journey. Some days are filled with tears and anguish but there are many others with laughter and learning and growth. The human spirit is amazing and resilient and I consider it a privilege to be invited into the life of each of my client’s. I know it can be intimidating to walk into the office of a stranger with the intent to share the most personal details of your life. I respect that, and I know that it is my job to earn your trust.
So, a little about me… I grew up in a small town of Northern California and lived there until I left for college. I earned my Bachelor Degree in Psychology and my Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy. Early in my career I worked specifically in the field of addiction, and I believe those early experiences helped build a foundation I carry into therapy today. Quite often when we form addictive behaviors, it isn’t about the drug, food, or sex, but more about our need to alter how we are feeling in the moment. Therapy is a powerful tool to help the individual address their pain rather than resorting to numbing or escaping it.
My training as a therapist expanded my vision for healing relationships. My love for working with couples stems from a belief that most relationships can be healed and strengthened through simple shifts in how we interact. We all long to feel deeply understood and cared for, and most couples that enter my office will admit they love each other, but no longer feel “in love.” The relationship has failed to thrive. Some of my most rewarding experiences have been in guiding couples toward achieving emotionally connected and fulfilling relationships.
My husband and I have been married for more than 20 years and we have 3 sons and 1 daughter. They have been some of my greatest teachers and continue to show me what is most important in life. We have enjoyed living in St. George, Utah for almost a decade now and I believe I am a lizard at heart – I love the sunshine!
Give me a call or shoot me an email. I would love to answer your questions or offer a brief phone consultation for free. If I am not the right fit for you, I will do my best to refer you to someone that is.

Theraplay is my niche where I find great joy in working with kiddos who may be going through a difficult time in their life. I also love working with their parents and often as families to help incorporate lasting change for increased satisfaction with the family.
I grew up in Salt Lake and moved up to Logan in 2007 to attend Utah State University. I had the intention of going into business but did not love my classes my Freshman year. I served and LDS mission to Honduras where I fell in love with helping people. After which, I knew that I needed to be in the helping profession. I began working toward my degree in Family, Consumer, and Human Development and then onto a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. It has been a difficult but extremely rewarding journey to be where I am today.
I have been married to my sweetheart for 4 years. We enjoy any outdoor adventures so moving to St. George was always in the plan, but never thought it would happen as soon as it did. We love to hike, bike, camp, paddle board, do yoga, and remodel our home.
If you have any further questions about Play Therapy, what it looks like, how it helps or anything that comes to mind, please call me or send me an email. I am here to help you and your family.
